Valuation and sale negotiation assistance

The Brief:

A very large fast-moving consumer goods business reached out to us for a valuation and sale negotiation assistance. The business had already entered into discussions with a consortium of investors represented by a private equity fund and were at a stage where they needed some numbers to back up their negotiation position.

 

The Project (3 months):

After spending some time getting to know the business, we put together a thorough enterprise assessment geared towards appealing to the private equity fund investors. Despite being worth more than R250 million, the business was still realistically in the early stages of its development and needed to be able to transition into a sustained business capable of meeting the growing demand for its products and services.


After a few tough weeks of urgent work, we produced a document that assisted in the investor negotiations and later received feedback that the negotiations were successful.
